Hi Laura,
So sad to let you know Aspen died yesterday a little after 4pm.  We had to put her to sleep…  It’s funny how people say you will know when it’s time, and that was true with her.  She was tired, and the last two weeks she lost her smile.  Everything was a chore.  Up until two weeks ago I thought she would live forever…or was hoping.  But she had a good run, we are going to miss her terribly!!  I read your poem/letter and sobbed… I can’t wait to see her again…and Ali…I hope they’re playing together and having fun!

I am so glad you said to wait to bring a puppy into our home.  It would have stressed her out, and I know she LOVED being the center of our attention.  Who would have thought…after Ali died I thought she would be a mess, but she was happy I think…I chuckle at that because neither Chris or I thought that would happen!!  She didn’t miss a beat!  LOL  Was like.. was there a yellow dog here?

We will continue to check your website, we go on it all the time just to see what’s happening.  I know you’re not having any puppies this spring or summer, but when you are ready please put us down for one.  Chris really wants to get another black female.  And it’s great to see that Joker comes from Flora.  Not that that means any puppy from him will be like Aspen…she was one of a kind.  In fact, we don’t want to replace Aspen.. or Ali for that matter.  But we would love to bring up another one of your dogs…our home just doesn’t feel right without an angel in it.  And that is what they are…pure and simple!

Oh God Laura, our home will never be the same without those two…can’t wait to see them again! - Jill
